First of all, it is very easy to reach Dalyan; Dalaman Airport is only 1.5 hours away from here. As soon as you arrive, the first thing you need to do is to take a deep breath on your balcony or terrace and feel like you are on holiday.There are so many places to see, see how we can fit in 3 days.
İztuzu Beach, Dalyan
Day One
After waking up in the morning with the sounds of the birds, with a long last breakfast with pink bougainvillea in the garden, we set out without losing our precious time. We cannot stop the unending holiday excitement and we are on the way to Iztuzu Beach, which is know for turtle's. You can use public transport for this short trip if you don't have a private car. This beautiful sandy beach has crystal clear water and is easily accessible by regular boats and buses. Beach has as two side, one of them is in the salty water, and the other one is normal water. You can choose whatever you want 😊 At this point where you stand at, Dalyan River meets the sea at Iztuzu beach (Dalyan Turtle Beach).
The Dalyan beach is pleasant not only to tourists , it is constantly visited by giant sea turtles Caretta Caretta.
Our advice to families with children is at this point; this is a very proper beach for making sand castles. Take your toys and don't think about the rest. İztuzu Beach, is closed to the public between 20.00 pm and 08:00 am from 1 May to 31 October to neutralise sound and light disturbance of the loggerhead turtle nesting sites. So that is why , you can not be in the beach in this between hour.
The sea is shallow and sandy, slightly wavy, we cannot imagine how it would be in the morning if it is so quiet in the afternoon.
Day Two
The light of the sun warms us up, the smell of salty sea with a slight wind in our nose. We didn't think we were going to see so much in planning the holiday of Dalyan, but now we don't want to leave. Today, we thought we could make breakfast against the rock tombs. We decided that Dalyan is the pearl of the Mediterranean.
Rock Cemeteries, where you can easily see even when you are sitting on the edge of the river or walking down the road, it was carved into the mountain and built in the 4th century BC. In the past, the graves of important people and kings were made up to the mountains, to be close to God. If you want to go to the rock tombs, we recommend you to go out by the ancient theater, because on the other side is therea cliff.
After breakfast, we wanted to taste Blue Crab which we saw everywhere for lunch. Day Three
When you visit Dalyan, there are reeds from everywhere, if you want to take a few photos, we have a great suggestion, Sülüngür Lake. It was a point of interest for those who were already engaged in photography. Also in nearby restaurants, you can taste local specialties.
Then we thought for the last day’s honor,we want to do rafting . İn Dalaman River you can feel excitement and fear at the same time. The water in turquoise color, and they say water was always warm. River has different degrees of difficulty, so you choose whichever you want. For 26 km we lived in the peaks of adrenaline-filled moments. That's how we ended our last day.
